Framed:

Sketch of a horse in profile with cartoons of animals on the reverse side. This graphite on wove paper was drawn 1876-1880, and is stamped with the monogram T-L on the bottom left side. An outstanding example of Toulouse-Lautrec’s sketching and his typical use of both sides of the paper due to expense involved at that period of his career. This drawing had been in the collection of the late Baron de Chollet of Fribourg and has exhibited in New York, Wildenstein & Co., Inc., Degas’ Racing World, A Loan Exhibition for the Benefit of The National Museum of Racing, Saratoga, March-April 1968.

This piece was restored in 1991 by Conservation of Art on Paper, Inc and is in absolutely pristine condition with museum quality custom framing which allows you to view both sides. A copy of the restoration report is available upon request.
