Sketch of a horse head on the front and of a man on the reverse side of this double-sided example of the artist’s drawings. Drawn circa 1876-1880, this pencil on paper is stamped with the monogram T-L on the bottom left side. This drawing had been in the collection of the late Baron de Chollet of Fribourg. Exhibitions include Lausanne, Musee Cantonal des Beaux-Arts, Palais de Rumine, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec; and New York, Wildenstein & Co., Inc., Degas’ Racing World, A Loan Exhibition for the Benefit of the National Museum of Racing, Saratoga,March-April 1968

This piece was restored in 1991 by Conservation of Art on Paper, Inc and is in absolutely pristine condition with museum quality custom framing which allows you to view both sides. A copy of the restoration report is available upon request.
