Norman Rockwell (1894-1978) “Girls of the Combat Forces” This charcoal on wove paper was commissioned by Dr. Douglas Sloane for the Memorial Bell Tower at the Cathefral of the Pines, Rindge, New Hampshire, 1964-1965, and was the property of the Cathedral of the Pines Foundation in Rindge. This piece was restored by Conservation of Art on Paper, Inc, Alexandria, Virginia in 1991 and is therefore in museum quality condition. A copy of the restoration report is available upon request. |
